I got my new Wii today. Took about 4 hours of waiting in line, but I have it and it’s updating right now. Setup has been super easy and it’s downloading updates right now. I’m surprised at how small of a profile it has – which is very nice if you stood it up to an Xbox or PS3.

Since it’s updating, I have nothing to report of game play, since I haven’t made it there yet. What I can say is that the Wiimote is very comfortable and the sensor bar is FAR from obtrusive (my big worry). It’s much smaller in person than I expected. I would expect that the sensor bar will become wireless in the not-too-distant future.

A new toy is the last thing I need with a move coming up soon, but I really did want it :)
