Grand Cayman has been nothing short of awesome. We’ve done 10 dives so far and each site has been amazing. We just did a stingray feeding dive later this afternoon, which was nothing short of incredible.

On the down side, I lost one of my plugs on Sunday. I hit every tattoo/piercing shop on the island and nobody has anything larger than about 1/2″. I’ve been going without jewelry since and just making sure that I keep my ears as protected from the sun as possible. I’ve also got some aloe that I’ve been rubbing my lobes with to keep them as healthy and moisturized as possible. So far, so good. No clue what size they’ll be when I get home though – my piercings tend to close (quickly) without any jewelry and this is definitely the longest I’ve gone without jewelry. Should be an interesting experiment if nothing else.

Yesterday we toured the west and north sides and tomorrow we’ll be touring the east side. We don’t expect to really see much, but it should be a nice adventure regardless.

Then we’ll have two more days of diving before we leave on Saturday.

Despite the jewelry mishap, it’s been a great time that I wish wasn’t going to end. I can get used to a perma-vacation in the Caribbean.
