Very spur-of-the-moment like, we decided to go to the Topsfield Fair yesterday.
Two very unexpected things happened:
- It took us about 2.5 hours to get there (should have taken less than 1/2 the time).
- There were like 500,000 people there. It was fucking unreal.
#2 above was certainly the main cause of #1. But given #1, despite #2, we still stayed for a few hours and tried to salvage the day by eating all sorts of not-readily-available-but-awesomely-delicious foods. My weakness is fried dough. Mmm…
I brought along my camera, but unfortunately, many of the sights were either behind fences, gross plexiglass or there were simply too many people to even see what was going on, let alone take pictures.
I ended up pulling over on the way home and snapping a few of this nice spot that we saw during the painfully slow crawl on the way in.
As Carmela would say, “I’m not a wide angle girl“, but I try to do what I can.
I tried my hand at some producty shots earlier this evening, but I haven’t looked at them yet. From what I was seeing in the viewfinder, I wasn’t sold on them. Will require some minor gear purchases and another go soon.
They’ll naturally be posted when I get some results that I like… or if they’re not as horrible as I think.
