I’ll tell you where I’ve been, I’ve been at home and at work. The only difference is that Mariah’s down, so a lot more of my “spare time” isn’t spent sitting idly in front of the computer any longer. (and thank goodness for that!)

Tonight will be spent doing some xmas shopping and I think I’m going to be able to wrap up what to get for my father and my mom’s husband (yes, they are two separate people). I still have to work on my mom, so this weekend it’s back to the mall – boo to that! At least I’ll have some company, so it won’t be *that* bad.

Other than that, things are busy, but not. At least I know I’ll have plenty to do until mid January.

…I’ll be happier than I’ve been in the past month and a half.

Mariah had some things fall into place so we decided to bump her flight up a week! I’m SO excited! This means she’ll be staying from 12/14 to 1/13. That’s so great!

I spent most of tonight cleaning up. The bathroom was an absolute wreck and rather disgusting. Ok, horribly disgusting. And my room had to be cleaned up some more as well. It’s nice feeling at least somewhat productive and having a clean apartment.

I’ve been REALLY tired all week though. Going to bed at 2:00am will do that to you it seems. That means that tonight will be an early night (hopefully getting offline around 11:00pm).

I probably won’t be online as much over the next month for obvious reasons. I’ll still be available via email and IMs, just not as available. Some things are just more important.

In an attempt to change the tone of my last message (which was particularly foul), I’ll give a bit of good news.

Last night I set up my second webcam on the newest computer in my network. For one reason or another, when the webcam was running on the server, it was freezing the hell out of it, so I ended that pretty quick. But like today when nobody’s using the 2nd computer, the cam gets all the resources, so it runs pretty damn smooth!

Maybe I should point it out the window again like I was doing before. That was always interesting. Not a whole lot goes on at my apartment when I’m at work since I don’t have any pets any more.

Eh, I’ll figure something out. Or just leave any suggestions you might have.

The same fucking guy fucked up the water again. I am severely pissed off right now. WHAT THE FUCK! How can you make the same fucking mistake twice over the course of a week’s time? How much of a stupid shithead are you?????

I’m seriously ready to go off the fucking wall. I called the management company and the property manager is going to call him now. I’m going to call back in about 15 minutes.

But this asshole shouldn’t be allowed to work in this building if he continues to fuck shit up – there’s no way around it. I have to find out of I have any sort of way to officially complain about this. I gave him the benefit of the doubt last time – shit happens. But the same fucking thing so soon – I’m sorry, that’s just sheer stupidity and people like that should not be allowed to inconvenience other people!

I added a new feature to the Haiku Page. It’s not a “huge” addition, but now you can view 10 random haiku at a time instead of having to go from page to page to page.

My next step is going to be to add a fully functional search feature that’ll allow you to search by author, email address or content. Though, I doubt I’ll get to that any time soon seeing as not that many people visit my page and I don’t really have that much initiative.

Anyhow, today’s going slow. I’ll pretty much just be watching the Sci-Fi Channel all day. It’s looking like a really good lineup.

Something’s got to keep me occupied, right?

Well, the snow’s coming down outside. I fuckin’ hate snow. Stupid winter in stupid New England.

Anyhow, I added a new computer to my network today. It was probably the easiest setup of a computer I’ve gone through yet. Not to say that every computer I’ve set up has had issues, this one was just particularly smooth. I’ll be very happy if the majority of computers I fuck with going forward are as easy to set up as this one.

In other news, my friend Larry is hooking me up with a laptop that he reworked for a really great price. I’m really appreciative that he’s hooking me up. I’ll be getting that later this month and adding it to my network probably as soon as I get it.

Being able to share a cable connection is SO convenient!

I did some low-level debugging of my nav bar at the bottom of the page. I’m sure nobody will notice the difference or even care, but I fixed it despite the fact that it was more aesthetic than a logic issue.

Oh well… I guess what’s more important is that I’m keeping in practice and learing – not necessarily if anyone gives a damn.

Don’t mind me… I’ll just keep telling myself that.

Reflections

Well, guess who doesn’t have any hot water… yup – ME.

Turns out some shithead plumbers were working on the unit downstairs and fucked something up and then left. The building manager has been trying to get ahold of them with no luck and some ass didn’t give a set of keys to the unit to the management company. Bah!

What’s happening is that someone bought the unit and is having it “fixed up”, so there’s no tennants down there – so there’s nobody to let anyone into the unit until tomorrow.

Stupid shit like this REALLY pisses me off because I’m totally a victim of a few people’s stupidity: the dumb fuck plumbers and the dick head owner.

On top of that… I’m not going to go into work without taking a shower or shaving and I’m not going to suffer through an ice cold shower either. So because of these shit heads, it looks like I’m going to be quite a bit late for work – if they even get the plumbing fixed.

The only good news is that the management company supervisor is making all sorts of calls and a real effort, so I have no gripes with him. Just the ass fucks that were screwing around downstairs.

BAH!

I think I’m going to make a new site (a subdomain actually) for my body mods. I need a new web project and I think this will be a fun one. I currently don’t really have a lot about my mods posted on here because, quite frankly it’s personal and I know that some people visit the site that have no business seeing or really hearing about what I get done. If for no other reason, it saves me a lot of hassle on many levels.

So, right now I’m doing some DHTML research right now for some drop down menus and such. I don’t think it’s going to be a “huge” site, but it’ll be fun and I’ll have everything in one place, which will be nice.

So keep your eyes open the next couple of weeks. Something should pop up.
