Bombarding the net with slightly greasy solar atoms for almost 10 years…
This is the best I could come up with given the short window I had.
ISO 200, f5, 1s. Slight drift due to subject motion.
ISO 200, f11, 30s. Very obvious drift due to subject motion. Amazing that the stars move THAT MUCH in just half a minute.
Had a remote shutter release, Mirror Lockup enabled and Long Exposure Noise Reduction enabled as well.
Both shot w/ Canon 30D + 70-200mm f2.8 IS + Kenko 1.4x TC. Shot with my shade on to try to minimize light pollution. I shot these in Boston from a tennis court with lots of auto traffic around it and other lights nearby. Pretty much the best I got for now.
Regulars know the deal – no cropping and minimal processing (trying to learn Lightroom here, so everything’s very minimal).
