It was really nice today. Not sure what the temp was, but probably high 60′s to low 70′s. I was up early to a silent house (a rare treat with my family). Overnight, a hibiscus flowered on the back deck and I got out and shot it for a while.

Click on any of the images for a larger size. There’s some incredible detail in a few of them.

After a bit, the sun warmed up and some anoles started coming out of their hiding places. I got some great opportunities to shoot them. My brother likes catching them, so I shot some of those for a while and shot some others that were just hanging out on the house. I’m really happy with how some of them came out.

Later in the afternoon, we just drove around for a while and just found some pier not far from here. I honestly have no idea where we ended up, but it was cool regardless. There were a bunch of fishermen hanging out and I shot some bird pics (nothing spectacular) and we saw a pod of dolphins swim by. I was totally surprised, but seeing dolphins is even cooler when it’s completely unexpected. They were too far away for me to get any photos that weren’t a few dark triangles sticking out of huge area of blue.

I bumped my flight up to leave tomorrow instead of Sunday. If I waited until Sunday, I’d likely get my ass stranded in Charlotte (my connecting airport) and wouldn’t get home until sometime on Monday (if I was lucky). So Saturday it is.
