Back In Boston (from Portland)

I’m back home after an exhausting but fun trip to Portland. It was fucking cold as hell and I think I’d have a better time when the weather warms up. I learned a few things though:

  • Not a single person that’s from Oregon has any idea how to think when there’s any degree of snow on the ground. Seriously. They got like four inches and acted like they got four feet.
  • There are more strip clubs in Portland per capita than any other part of the US… which is just awesome.
  • Speaking of strip clubs, when a stripper puts all of her weight onto a pierced nipple via crazy stripper boots, it tends to hurt – a lot. And bleed. Ouch.
  • I’m spoiled in Boston. You can smoke in clubs or restaraunts. Bars that allow people to smoke are gross.
  • There’s apparently some mountains in the area, but given the almost-constant cloud cover, I really didn’t get to see any.

I just want to stay awake a while longer to try to get back on my usual schedule. I have my final jewelry class tomorrow and then I’ve got a bunch of work to do on Thursday night… so I can’t get into some weird early-evening sleep cycle.

I’ll certainly be immediately passing out as soon as I allow myself to.
